East Coast covers is a trading name of Misfits Marquees Ltd. Specialising in the manufacture of bespoke covers and tensile structures for commercial and domestic use. Below are some of our past marquee industry projects.
24 Meter Big Top
We recovered this tent for Misfits Marquees, and it is one of the largest structures made to date. Apart from the occasional repair, this was our first big step into manufacturing and
has become the flagship for Misfits Marquees. We used the old and rather leaky cover as a template for a new one. We have a large catalog of colours available for projects. For this project, we chose blue and yellow. This has given "Betty Big Top" a new lease of life and has been used as a stage, wedding reception venue, circus rehearsal space, theatre, and conference hall.
Bespoke Marquee Commission
This marquee was commissioned as a remake of a rather old circus stable tent. After many years of use in several different locations this old blue and red cover was no longer fit for purpose. The client requested a remake using their existing poles with an increased footprint, window walling, fire exit and stove jack all in a brave colour combination of green and brown. We weren't sure at first but we absolutely love this finished product.
Recovering of a party marquee
​The standard covers on this type of tent are made from polyurethane that degrades badly in sunlight. This is exactly what had happened to the client's cover so we reproduced it in durable, lightweight PVC vinyl. We can reproduce most covers if you have the old one for us to take measurements from.
PVC Vinyl bags in the images below are made from both repurposed and new materials to make large storage bags. We promote reuse of materials its the best form of recycling and if you source them it will keep materials costs down. Please Ask as we have reuse materials.
